WHERE DO I PARK?
Three vehicles can park at the studio, then there is plenty of street parking on 11th and 12th streets at either end of the lane. Please DO NOT let anyone park cars around the courtyard, this will piss the neighbors off, they will bang on the studio door and you will be ticketed or towed…kinda ruins everyone’s day
HOW DO I BOOK AND PAY?
eMail us to book, there is a $100 non-refundable deposit day booked. We'll send an invoice you can pay with a credit card/ApplePay/ACH then another invoice a few days before the shoot for the balance. The balance must be paid for before the shoot begins.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
We operate 6am - 10pm. 6am is the earliest the crew can arrive and you must be driving away by 10pm as we are in a residential court yard and have neigbours. Running past 10pm will result in a $500 fee charged to your card and you will be asked to pack and leave immediatly. Sorry!
WILL THERE BE STAFF AT THE STUDIO?
We will give you a unique code to get in to the studio just like an AirBnB. There will be no staff around during the shoot, but you can always reach us by phone if you need to.
ARE ALL THE EQUIPMENT AND BACKDROPS AVAILABLE?
Yes, everything on the Gear Page is in the studio unless you have been informed something is being cleaned or repaired (it happens, but not often).
CAN YOU TAKE STUDIO EQUIPMENT OFF-SITE TO ANOTHER LOCATION DURING YOUR SHOOT?
Studio equipment must not be taken off-site and used elsewhere during your booked time in the studio. If we discover you have removed and used our equipment off-site we reserve the right to charge you a $1,500 per day fee. Yes, it’s very high so you won’t be tempted to do it.
MINIMUM BOOKING DURATION
The minimum is a full day booking for 8 hours on the same day (eg. 9am - 5pm) for $990. We can do a shorter booking if you book last minute (a day or two before you want to shoot).
WHAT IF I GO OVER MY BOOKING TIME?
It’s a flat rate of $110/hr, charged in 30 minute increments. There is no penalty overtime rate.
If you stay in the studio and run in to someone else’s booking the next day then you will be charged $500 and asked to pack up and leave immediately. It would be ugly, we don’t advise it.
THE WEATHER SUCKS! CAN I CANCEL?
If the DC or Federal Government call a weather emergency in D.C. and tell their minions not to come to work then you can cancel without penalty. This keeps it very simple and easy.
IS IT CHEAPER IF I BRING MY OWN GEAR?
Feel free to bring your own gear, but the price is the same.
WHAT IF I BREAK SOMETHING?
You have to pay for it, we strongly suggest you have your own insurance. You sign a credit card authorization before you use the studio agreeing to pay for any damage/repairs. Let us know as soon as it happens, we won't be mad, but we need to know. If you don't let us know we may tie you to a pole in the courtyard and tar and feather you.
